Defensive Driving Course (DDC):
You are taking this DDC for several reasons.
- 2 Point Reduction on your Driving Record
By completing the course, two points will be automatically reduced on your driving record. The point reduction could help you avoid a license suspension. - 5% Off Your Automobile Insurance Premium
When you complete the online Defensive Driving Course and present the certificate to your Insurance Provider, you are eligible for a minimum 5% discount on your Collision and Auto Liability insurance premium, including Property Damage (PD), Bodily Injury (BI), and Personal Injury Protection (PIP). Your discount will apply to your automobile insurance premium FOR 3 YEARS. - Court Ordered
A judge may have assigned you to take this course. It is your responsibility to determine if your court accepts online defensive driving courses.
To receive credit for the course and to receive your Certificate of Completion for points and insurance reduction, you must complete the online DDC (including the final exam) and make your payment - for the .
Instructions - How to Complete This Online Course
- To begin, return to our home page and click on the "Sign Up" button or on the "Sign Up (New?)" link in our menu section.
- Select your course.
- Fill out the registration form.
- Review the information and click on the "register" button.
- You will then have to answer a few personal validation questions. We are required by state regulations to have personal validation questions answered by all students taking our course. These questions are used to verify that the student reading the material is actually who they are claiming to be. These questions protect us and our students from fraud. None of the information given by the student is sold or provided to any third parties. All of your information is kept private and is used only for verification purposes.
- The list of sessions will then appear. Click on the "start course" button to begin learning!
- After completing each chapter of the program you will take a short quiz. After passing each quiz you will continue on to the next chapter.
- You will take a final examination at the end of the course. Once you have read the online sessions and completed the Chapter Review Questions, you will be permitted to take the final exam.
- The final exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions.
- You must answer at least 40 questions correctly (80%) to pass the final exam.
- Your answers will be graded and you will be informed immediately of your test results.
- If you fail to pass the final examination, you are allowed to retest.
